Youth Health and Life Skills Development Initiative (YHLDI) was therefore established in 2017 to build adolescents and young people for purposeful impact in the face of their vulnerabilities.

The vision of this organization was borne out of the strong desire to transform adolescents and young people to change agents where they live, work, and play to ensure they are strategically positioned to be impactful leaders.

At the heart of every transformed society is a generation of young people who were seen early, guided intentionally, and empowered to believe that their lives matter.

The 2025 Becoming Empowerment Program, held on 8th March 2025 to commemorate International Women’s Day, was a bold and timely call to raise a new generation of confident, capable, and purpose-driven female leaders.
